I love that I meet you as you become a little family with your brand new baby. Its an honour to meet babies when they are only a week or two old, and then to go on and watch them grow as you come back year after year marking your little ones milestones.
Where it all began…
I have always loved photos and looking back at a time I can’t remember, my oldest had lots of photoshoots over the years and I was always the mum with camera in hand.
It was only after the birth of my twins that I considered it as a profession.
When I started out as a professional photographer, initially I was a mobile. Photographing babies in their family homes all over the North East.
I have recently moved back to Scotland and have a lovely welcoming home studio. I am based in Ruthven near Alyth and very easily accessed from Angus Dundee and Perthshire.

Why should you choose me?
Newborn to preschool and everything in between is my absolute favourite ages. When you come to me for your newborn photoshoot, I will point you in the direction of coffee, snacks and the sofa for a couple of hours. I will feed your baby, clean them up, cuddle them and settle them. Above all else I will make sure they are comfortable and happy as that is how I get the best photos.
This is how I feel about very photoshoot, the most important thing is to make sure everyone in front of the camera is happy and comfortable, I hope to capture the connection between you and your loved ones so that in years to come that is what your children and grand children see.
Are photographs important?
Displaying your childrens and families images around your home “lets children learn who they are and where they fit”. To boost your childs self esteem it is a good idea have visual reminders of where they are in the family dynamic, this will encourage feelings of love and belonging. Leading Physchologists say displaying family images in childrens bedrooms is a great visual reminder of how loved they are before they go to sleep and again as the wake up each morning.
In my studio in Ruthven, Angus, I am right in the middle between Angus, Perth and Dundee. I hope to provide a relaxing space with tea /coffee and snacks available to hand. I have childrens toys, and some treats for the little ones too. It is important to be comfortable in your surroundings to get those natural smiles and candid moments.
